I recently had a new client tell me that her former lash tech told her to not get her lashes wet. Which included cleaning them! Oh, please keep them clean. This is crazy. Yes, the lashes will be a bit more traumatized for the cleaning, but you must keep YOUR lashes healthy. That means keeping the skin around them clean. There is a lot of debris that can build up around the base of the lashes. This is mascara, eyeliner, shadow and (yuck) little tiny creatures that can live there and die there. So clean them. Don't use oil based cleansers or 'ponds' type creams. My best recommendation is keep a bottle of inexpensive baby shampoo in your shower and clean your lashes when you wash your hair. It won't dry out your skin or sting your eyes and you will have clean lashes.
